Labour Party (LP) on Thursday presented over 18,000 polling unit results which it claimed ere downloaded from the INEC Result Viewing portal.

However, the result sheets which are to serve as evidence in its petition challenging the February 25, 2023 presidential election were all blurry.

Onyeachi Ikpeazu, Counsel for LP’s presidential candidate, Peter Obi, told the court that the documents came out as blurred from the INEC result viewing website after it was downloaded.

Also, the LP presented its fourth and fifth witnesses. One of them Eric Ofuegbu, a professor of Mathematics from the Anambra state university, Awka.

Three reports were tendered through the witness along with his statement on oath.

The reports include election scores analysis in Rivers state, another one from Benue state and the statistical investigation on the votes scored by the candidates in the presidential election.

The reports and witness statement were admitted as evidence and marked as exhibits, amid objections by INEC, Bola Tinubu, Kashim Shettima and the APC.

The cross examination of Ofuegbu has been reserved till Friday.

A video by the petitioners was also displayed in court, where INEC Chairman Mahmoud Yakubu was seen assuring that the election results will be transmitted from the over 176,000 polling units and that the I-Rev will be the archive for Nigerians to access the results at anytime.
